3D Design Fundamental

AIM : To construct a 3D floating object (boat) using recycled material.

Objective :

  • To create environment awareness through the art learing
  • To identify places where recyclable material can be collected
  • To identify the best possible ways of reuse of recyclable material collected
  • To design a main structure of 3D floating object based from subject matter studied

Methodology :

  • From the selection of 3 subject matter (insect/plants), the student will do reconstruction of the form using steel wire for FORM and structure understanding
  • One best structure will be selected as part of the further design development for 3D water floating object. Further reference regarding of water vehicle must be done extensively in order to understand the 3D water floating object concept.
  • Collection of recyclable material will be gathered and students need to identify the best possible ways in reuse it for 3D water floating object construction. The construction and building understanding in earlier task will be applied in the final task

TASK 1
Understanding FORM through building and construction activity
Students need to find one TANGIBLE subject from nature (insect/plant). First task is to understand the FORM of the subject through building activity. Equipment used: Nose pliers & steel wire. Selected form will be highlighted for further development. All documentation must be done along the process in a form of photograph and writing. Submitted item: 3 wire structure (not bigger than 2 feets)
Turtle
This is my turtle that I made from wire. I made it with details so the turtle seem more real.

High Heels Shoes
This is my high heels shoes wire structure. Its looks so simple but its very nice

Butterfly
This is the butterfly that I made. I made its details at butterfly wings so the butterfly looks more real.
